About the role
JOB SUMMARY\nThis job is exclusively for Coop Students who are enrolled in a recognized post-secondary co-operative education program.\n\nThe Transit Fleet and Facilities Maintenance team provides safe, reliable, efficient, timely and cost-effective transit vehicle maintenance services to support federally regulated transit services within the City.\n\nYou provide design and engineering assistance/support to transit fleet engineers and technicians. \n_EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nEnrolment in a recognized co-operative engineering program; 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student preferred.\n\nNo experience required\n\nKNOWLEDGE\n * Vehicle systems and sub-systems\n * Analytical and research techniques\n * Computer software applications such as MS Office Suite and drafting software\n * Maintenance information management systems\n * Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.\n\nWHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW_\n * Language Requirement: English oral, reading, writing \n * Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements. \n * Please save a copy of the job poster.
