Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Vice President, People & Culture – NAM, you are responsible for shaping and executing the regional people strategy in alignment with Arc’teryx’s long-term business objectives. As a key member of the People and Culture leadership team, you bring a people-first, purpose-driven approach to leading the full spectrum of People & Culture functions, within our North America business.
You are a strategic architect, trusted advisor, and player coach who is ensuring the delivery of our people roadmap, regionally. You cultivate a culture of excellence, inclusion, and innovation that drives performance and supports sustainable growth in a fast-scaling global environment. Through a high-performing team of P&C leaders, you deliver people programs that are deeply aligned with our values, business priorities, and the evolving expectations of our people.
This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

The People & Culture team at Arc’teryx is a dynamic, integrated function dedicated to enabling our people to thrive and our business to grow. You will lead a cross-functional team across Business Partnership and Talent Acquisition.
Together, your team builds and executes scalable, human-centered programs that strengthen our leadership pipeline, engage our teams, and support an inclusive, values-driven culture. Your leadership ensures consistency of vision, clarity of priorities, and seamless execution across all pillars of the People function.
If you were the Vice President, People & Culture – NAM now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

- Partnering with leaders across the business to set and execute an integrated Global to Regional People strategy that drives organizational performance, supports cultural evolution, and aligns with our long-term business goals
- Leading and developing a high-impact People & Culture regional function that is equipped to attract and retain top talent across the North American business, with a particular focus on Business Partnership and Talent Acquisition
- Translating the global People vision and strategy into regional execution by driving leadership accountability and implementing an operational framework that enables scalable, high-impact delivery
- Partnering closely with the NAM Leadership Team as the functional leader over matters that include org design, workforce planning, leadership/team development, succession, and change enablement.
- Overseeing our workforce planning process, identifying gaps between our current and future competency requirements, and ensuring we have a strategic people resourcing plan in place to meet long-term business objectives for all areas of the North America business
- Ensuring global consistency and local relevance of people programs, with a strong focus on enabling scalable growth, adaptability, and employee engagement
- Embedding a high-performance culture by aligning performance, feedback, and recognition programs to organizational values and outcomes
- Driving the evolution of our Total Rewards strategy in partnership with the Total Rewards team, ensuring competitiveness, equity, and clarity for all employees
- Stewarding our employee experience and culture, using data, insights, and storytelling to inform action and amplify our people’s voices
- Overseeing organizational design and development, ensuring our structure, systems, and capabilities are built for current and future growth
- Championing inclusion, learning, and leadership development through targeted programs that reflect the diverse needs of our global teams
- Leading change at scale, ensuring our people are prepared, supported, and engaged through transformation

You have a Masters Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Organizational Leadership or equivalent
-
You bring 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including global scope and at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

You have previous experience working for a global company and a proven ability to quickly build an understanding of a complex global business model

You are strategic and solutions-focused with a simple and practical approach when executing

You are committed to developing and driving a service excellence culture

You have superior coaching skills and are experienced in coaching enterprise leaders
-
You are great at influencing through strong relationships, expertise, and data and can manage a complex group of stakeholders

You have excellent interpersonal skills with an approachable personality

You have strong presentation and communication skills

You have effective project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

$224,000 - $308,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$224,000 - CAD$308,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
