NATURE OF WORK

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists of carrying out the functions of a executive secretary for the Director of Information & Technologies.

CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS

Carries out duties such as: the accurate transcription, on a typewriter and on word processor software, of texts and letters from notes, recordings or manuscripts; keeping records and registers up-to-date; giving general information over the telephone; composing simple letters; seeking out and collecting information to be included in reports and correspondence and photocopying.

Prepares appropriate travel arrangements and related documents for all members of the I.T. team, as well as for I.T. consultants.

Looks for translation of letters from French to English when required.

If need be, the secretary performs any other related task.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:**

Completion of the Secondary V level with appropriate option, or certificate of studies, which the equivalency is recognized by the competent authority;

At least four (4) years of relevant experiences required;

Fluency in English is required;

Ability to speak Cree is required;

Ability to work in French is required.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS**:**

Replacement position for an undetermined period.

The Cree School Board (CSB) provides pre-school, elementary and secondary education to the James Bay Cree youth and supports Cree adults in their pursuit of post-secondary education, continuing education and vocational training.

As an independent First Nation school board recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport, it also develops programs and pedagogical materials in Cree, French and English following Quebec Education Program guidelines.
