EIPS is recruiting a part-time (0.5 FTE) Kinder Quest Teacher at Pine Street Elementary. We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative professional for a 0.5 morning position within our specialized Kinder Quest program. This role is designed for an educator who thrives in a high-support, multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about neurodiversity. As the lead for a small, targeted cohort of Kindergarten students with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis, you will be the primary architect of their morning learning experience, ensuring that every intervention is tailored to their unique developmental profile. In this role, you will not work in isolation. You will serve as the central hub for a diverse team, providing daily guidance and direction to numerous Educational Assistants to ensure classroom consistency. You will work in close partnership with a multidisciplinary team, including Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Behavioral Consultants, to seamlessly integrate therapeutic goals into the natural flow of the morning
Pine Street Elementary serves approximately 370 students in kindergarten to Grade 6, with 20 teaching staff and 26 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.

Quest is an all-inclusive early intervention
program in a smaller classroom group setting supporting children from five to seven years of age who are experiencing severe delays in communication and
regulation. Quest aims to have students participate in
classroom activities that support their Instructional Support Plan (ISP). Teachers
and educational assistants work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure
each student’s success.
Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills
-
Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
