Student Accounts is responsible for overseeing incoming tuition fee payments (receivables) as well as outgoing student refunds (payables) for both undergraduate and graduate students at SFU. We ensure the financial data integrity of the Student Information System (SIS). The Collections team within Student Accounts is responsible for overseeing receivables of overdue student fees.
About the Role
The Coordinator, Student Accounts is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations of the Student Accounts department, coordinating support functions, assisting Associate Director, Accounting Operations in implementing business process improvements, minimizing the University's bad debt, and supporting technological enhancements in testing new systems or system upgrades. The role plays a vital role in the effective operation of the Student Accounts department, which oversees all student receivables and student payables at Simon Fraser University. The role works closely with Student Services, Financial Services, and IT to maintain operational effectiveness and excellent student experience.
