The Opportunity
Entertainment Managers at Gibbons Whistler are the heartbeat of our nightlife experience—blending DJ talent, creative flair, and strong leadership to deliver unforgettable nights. In this hybrid role, you’ll perform as a DJ, coordinate entertainment operations, and support overall venue management during quieter moments. We’re looking for someone who is energetic, crowd-savvy, and organized, with strong communication skills, the ability to stay cool under pressure, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. Salary and Perks of the Job
- $75,00****0 - $100,000 based on experience and qualifications.

What You Bring to the Table
- Professional DJ experience with the ability to read a crowd, build energy, and deliver memorable sets.
- Strong technical knowledge of DJ gear, sound systems, and event equipment, including the ability to troubleshoot on the fly.
- Up-to-date music awareness and the ability to curate playlists and performance styles that match the Gibbons Whistler brand and our venues’ vibes.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work closely with headline performers, technical crews, photographers, security, and venue staff.
- Confident communicator with excellent situational awareness and the ability to juggle multiple moving parts in a high-energy environment.
- Flexible availability, especially for evenings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and peak-season events.
- Proactive, solution-focused approach to managing entertainment challenges, operational needs, and unexpected moments.
- Positive, guest-first attitude with a passion for creating fun, inclusive, high-quality experiences that keep people coming back.
Your Days Will Look Like
- Helping build and organize a shared library of music, mixes, and entertainment resources for the team.
- Stepping in to DJ at other venues or company events when needed.
- Supporting the General Manager during quieter times by helping on the floor, greeting guests, and making sure the venue stays clean, welcoming, and running smoothly.
- Working with the General Manager to adjust and improve the venue’s entertainment—curating playlists, practicing sets, planning fun competitions or giveaways, and keeping the vibe fresh.
- Connecting with guests when you’re not performing to make sure they’re having a great experience and addressing any concerns with professionalism.
- Maintaining a positive, curious mindset to help prevent issues with entertainment quality or guest satisfaction.
- Keeping track of DJ gear and entertainment equipment, helping ensure everything is counted, cared for, and replaced when needed.
- Following a regular cleaning and upkeep routine for DJ booths and equipment to keep everything in great working condition.
- Setting up and packing down DJ equipment safely and assisting with event setups when required.
- Supporting venue promotions by sharing posts, talking up events, and building relationships in the community to bring people in.
- Connecting with local neighbors and community members to maintain good relationships and ensure performances respect local expectations and noise guidelines.
- Keeping simple records of equipment repairs or upgrades so everything stays organized and up to date.
