About the role
NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking highly skilled Logistics Specialists to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory counting, FIFO management, communicating with different departments, and working with the material handling team. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory accuracy, warehouse and shipping coordination, and resource management.
Responsibilites:
- Work with our 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) provider to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of material.
- Ensure PPE requirements, safe equipment operations, and best practices are being followed at all times.
- Support logistics team on all inventory counting and part supply functions.
- Provide support in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain good communication and information sharing with other facility operations teams.
- Conduct 5s and safety walks and follow up to any observations to verify timely closure.
- Follow all Company safety and security guidelines.
- Ability to influence others and manage conflict with a fact-based problem-solving approach.
- Conduct safety and information session talks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Monitor FIFO compliance.
- Ability to influence others and manage conflict with a fact-based problem-solving approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Able to work 12-Hour continental shifts in fast paced environment
- Inventory counting and reconciliation experience
Preferred Requirements:
- College diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- 3+ years of warehouse and shipping supervisory experience.
- Experience with ERP/MES systems
