THE ROLE The Military Family Services Program Specialist will develop, coordinate, deliver and evaluate programs directed towards the enhancement of the quality of life for Military families, and will research and establish, sustain and foster a network of community contact and partnerships as well as recommend program consultation to Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, their families and military entities.

The Military Family Services Program Specialist will recommend referral and follow-up services for CAF members and their families requiring specialized professional services within and outside the military system, and design, coordinate and facilitate delivery of resources and standardizes documents, reports and infographics.

Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in Social Science, Education, Administration, Community Development or a related field AND several years of experience in family support, social services or a related field

Experience In program and service delivery

In developing and implementing community programs and services

In creating briefing materials and presentations

In community engagement

In establishing, sustaining and fostering a network of community contacts and partnerships

In applying policies, procedures and applicable legislation and regulations

In developing standardized content and operational procedures

In project management

In marketing, communications, proofreading, layout and design

In delivering family support services

In planning, coordinating and conducting training (including adult education)

In drafting correspondence

In budget administration

In working with a multidisciplinary team

Competencies, Skills, And Abilities Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Language Requirements Bilingual (English and French) Essential

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
