About the role

The Financial Empowerment Practice Lead is responsible for advancing and embedding Financial Empowerment as an organization-wide practice across e4c programs and services. This role provides implementation leadership for the development, integration, and continuous improvement of Financial Empowerment standards, tools, and approaches. Working in close collaboration with the Strategy Office and program leadership, the Practice Lead ensures alignment between strategic priorities and operational practice. The Practice Lead ensures Financial Empowerment principles are consistently applied in a low-barrier, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and dignity-centered manner, aligned with e4c’s mission and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Practice Leadership & Integration

  • Lead the development and rollout of e4c’s Financial Empowerment practice framework.
  • Support integration of Financial Empowerment principles into program models and service delivery approaches.
  • Establish practical standards, tools, and guidance to support consistent implementation.

Workforce Development & Capacity Building

  • Support development of Financial Empowerment competencies across staff roles.
  • Design and deliver training and implementation supports.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to program leaders adopting Financial Empowerment practices.

Funding Strategy & Sector Engagement

  • Collaborate with leadership to align Financial Empowerment initiatives with funding strategy.
  • Engage with sector partners to strengthen practice credibility and alignment.
  • Monitor emerging trends in financial inclusion and poverty reduction.

Quality, Data & Governance

  • Ensure alignment of data collection and reporting practices.
  • Use feedback and performance data to inform practice improvement.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, administration, education, or another related field.
  • Master’s degree in human services, teaching, community development, or another related field is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience operating at an organizational or corporate level.
  • 5 years of stakeholder engagement and/or community development experience in the non-profit sector.
  • 5 years of integrated project management experience across diverse stakeholders.
  • 3 years of informational, outcome, and/or strategic analysis experience in the non-profit sector.
  • 3 years of leadership and team supervision experience.
  • Experience working with economically, socially, and culturally diverse individuals and communities.
  • Experienced working with social issues: poverty, homelessness, mental illness, substance use, racism, violence/abuse and/or other related experience.
  • Proven success delivering high-quality reports, briefs, proposals, policies, and presentations.
