Overview We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Retail Sales Associate who is experienced in Pool & Spa Water Testing to join our team. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
• Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
• Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
• Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers over the phone or via online channels
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising tasks
• Support team members in achieving store sales goals through collaborative efforts
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships

Water Testing Responsibilities:

• Perform professional water testing for pools and hot tubs
• Analyze results and explain findings clearly to customers
• Recommend appropriate chemicals, equipment and maintenance programs
• Drive retail chemical and accessory sales
• Educate customers on water balance, sanitation, and preventative care
• Follow up with clients on treatment plans and seasonal needs

Skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with diverse customers
• Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus, enhancing customer engagement
• Experience in retail sales, technology sales, or product demos is preferred
• Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
• Excellent organizational skills to manage merchandise displays and stock levels
• Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to perform basic merchandising tasks and maintain store presentation standards
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and cross-selling strategies
• Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional communication in customer interactions
• Previous experience as a Pool & Spa Water Testing Technician (preferred)
• Strong understanding of water chemistry (chlorine, bromine, alkalinity, pH, calcium, CYA, etc.)
• Knowledge of pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems) considered an asset

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
