Contract Intermediate Property Analyst: On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Contract Intermediate Property Analyst for a contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Calgary office. This is a 6 month contract.
Contract Intermediate Property Analyst - Job Description: The Contract Intermediate Property Analyst will manage full-cycle production accounting for Alberta and Saskatchewan, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of production, revenue, and royalties. The role involves analyzing data, supporting operational teams, and implementing changes due to regulatory updates and audit findings.
Contract Intermediate Property Analyst - Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle production accounting for Alberta and Saskatchewan, including production, revenue, and royalty reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Analyze production, revenue, and royalty data; reconcile discrepancies with the general ledger.
- Maintain and update master file setups and changes.
- Support operational teams with accounting and reporting needs.
- Implement changes to property accounting resulting from regulatory updates, measurement adjustments, complex allocations, and audit findings.
- Provide backup coverage as needed.
- Participate in amendment projects as required.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects as assigned.
Contract Intermediate Property Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
- 5-9 years of experience in full-cycle production accounting.
- Strong preference for experience with Alberta and Saskatchewan conventional oil and gas, including SK heavy oil properties.
- Proficient in Metrix Production Accounting, Petrinex, EC Field Data Capture, PVR Data Capture, SAP, and Land Systems.
- Solid understanding of allocations, measurement, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills with expertise in data management and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams.
Contract Intermediate Property Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Highly organized with proven multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Bachelors degree and CAPPA certification, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with accessible teamwork environments.
