As a licensed professional, a Regulated Pharmacy Technician is distinguished from a Pharmacy Assistant by their authority to execute final checks, transfer prescriptions, and administer injections. Daily tasks at a Shoppers Drug Mart include: Greeting patients and gathering prescription details. Accurate prescription dispensing and third-party adjudication. Managing the dispensary cash register. Preparing compliance and blister packs.
To qualify for this role at Shoppers Drug Mart, you must meet the following criteria: Hold a diploma from an accredited Pharmacy Technician College. Be registered and in good standing with your provincial regulatory college (e.g., NSPR). Possess strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
