What You'll Be Doing:

As a Sr. Business Analyst in the Project Delivery, Modernization and Enablement team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of work packages and initiatives, including Analysis of Deliverables, Stakeholder engagement, Requirements documentation, Business Case and Benefits planning, Execution delivery, Risk Mitigation, Communication, Testing and People Change Management. Provide high impact analysis and thought leadership on strategic Projects and Programs involving Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Personal Banking, and Commercial Banking business units. Conduct in-depth analysis of business policies, processes, procedures and assessing process optimization opportunities across CIBC’s back-office operations portfolio.

This is subject to change based on business and project requirements.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Disciplined Analysis and Documentation – Work with Business Partners, Business Sponsor/Lead(s), Technology partners, Stakeholder groups, and project team members, to assess and document the current state and to formulate a target state and roadmap. Present detailed business requirements and process flows aligned with CIBC’s strategy and ensure all required artifacts are socialized and approved within required timelines. As assigned, participate in User acceptance and business implementation activities.
  • Strong Collaboration and Decision Support – Lead activities to help internal partners make informed and timely decisions related to scope, requirements, technology, organization, cost, schedule etc. Motivate and inspire your project teams as you work toward a common goal and successful outcomes. Build ongoing partnerships with clients and business partners.
  • Project Leadership – Performs a subject matter leadership role to Project Delivery on project related activities. Proactively identify risks to the project schedule and find ways to mitigate them. Monitor milestones; ensure they’re completed according to timelines and budgets. Execute a project plan that strikes the right balance between budget, time, and risk.
  • Clear Communication – Develop compelling presentation materials to support working team and executive discussions and to articulate Workstream status. Maintain detailed risks, actions, issues and decision logs, track progress and schedule regular reviews and updates. Raise awareness and status of items through clear and timely communication.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 3 - 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst (or related role). You can demonstrate experience in defining and reengineering processes, documenting business requirements, formulating test plans and people change management tactics. You have worked on large scale, multi-faceted programs and understand what it takes from a client, business and technology perspective to successfully define and deliver change within a fast paced and high-volume environment. It's an asset if you have experience optimizing workflows and contributing to process improvements across financial services industry.
  • You can demonstrate knowledge of Financial systems, front-office and back-office operations, financial services domain expertise. It's an asset if you have Knowledge of AI/ML and workflow automation frameworks, Low-code/No-code familiarity: Power Platform, Appian, Mendix, and IPA/RPA Experience: UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism
  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You are confident in your ability to formulate and communicate insights in an impactful way. It's an asset if you have experience with the following Data Analysis tools: Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx
  • Communication and interpersonal skills are your strengths. You have exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills necessary to gain commitment and support for desired objectives and to deliver project artifacts.
  • You have a degree/diploma in Business, Engineering, Computer Science and/or a related field of study. It's an asset if you have IIBA or PMI BA Certifications (CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PMI-PBA)
