Job Description We are currently seeking an Accident Benefits Adjuster to join our team in Alberta or British Columbia, Canada. This field position allows candidates to be located in any city within Alberta. The successful applicant will play a key role in evaluating loss claims, with a particular emphasis on accident benefits claims through thorough and comprehensive loss investigations. Additionally, candidates should be eligible to apply for a multiple adjuster license.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and analyzes experts’ reports
- Selects and directs independent experts
- Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities
- Secures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgets
- Detailed recording of file activities and transactions in both Crawford and Company and client-based systems
- Maintains accurate expense accounts
- Work with manager to maintain client relation
- Ability to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulators
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years functional/technical experience in an insurance environment, knowledge of accident benefits or bodily injury
- Ideal candidate will have a medical insurance knowledge, specializing in motor vehicle claims, physical therapy or any medical claims
- Policy interpretation and experience, making recommendations to the marketHas an active adjuster license or is working towards a CIP and/or FCIP designation
- Strong report writing skills
- Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills
- Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth
