About the role
Summary of Duties
-
Receive supplies, check waybills, packing slips and invoices
-
Communicate with Buyer and Production Planner regarding discrepancies
-
Store, issue and deliver supplies in accordance with established procedures (FIFO)
-
Maintain and assist with inventory levels using CBORD reports
-
Develop par stock quantities and initiate orders for non food items
-
Conduct Quality Assurance audits
-
Conduct daily CBORD advanced withdrawals (tempering/slacking)
-
Conduct weekly departmental inventories
-
Follow established Food Safety guidelines and departmental policies and procedures
-
Perform other related store duties as required
Qualifications/Skills
- OSSGD or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year recent storekeeping experience
- Food Handler’s certification required
- Previous recent food service experience
- Recent purchasing/receiving experience
- Familiar with food nutritional supplements and non-food products
- Excellent time management skills essential with attention to detail
- Minimum 1 year recent experience with computerized inventory systems (CBORD)
- Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
- Driver’s license/Tow-motor license required to operate tow-motor and forklift
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- WHMIS training required
- Familiar with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
