Interweigh Systems Inc is an accredited provider of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 mass and weighing equipment, calibration services. We are seeking an experienced Mass Calibration Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on technical role for someone with strong metrology experience. If you bring strong practical calibration skills, sound technical judgment, and a high level of ownership, and leadership maturity, Interweigh Systems would be interested in speaking with you.
Role Description
The Mass Calibration Technician will play a key role in our laboratory operations, conducting test weight refurbishment, proficiency testing and calibration to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards. Additional duties include, test equipment verifications, weighing equipment diagnosis, setup, calibration, repairs & other tasks associated with our manufacturing processes. This role can be physically demanding and will provide opportunities to help improve our processes and support company growth. The ideal candidate is physically capable, highly hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable working with complex instrumentation. Strong attention to detail and able to work independently are essential. Repair experience is an asset.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to
Perform calibration, verification, adjustment, and troubleshooting of test & measurement equipment across a broad range of disciplines. Handle more technically complex calibration projects independently. Develop, improve, and document calibration procedures and technical methods. Perform and support ISO 17025 quality and technical compliance activities. Create accurate calibration worksheets, certificates, records, and technical documentation. Support technical evaluation of customer requirements, including calibration feasibility and scope. Participate in onsite calibration work when required. Support continuous improvement of lab workflows, processes, automation, and technical capability. Assist with ISO, Measurement Canada audit readiness and accreditation compliance. Collaborate with sales and customer-facing teams on technical inquiries where needed.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering Technology, Engineering, Physics, Metrology, or related technical discipline. 2 years hands-on calibration experience. Strong understanding of metrology fundamentals, measurement uncertainty, traceability, and calibration best practices. Experience in ISO 17025 laboratory environments strongly preferred. Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills. Repair experience is a strong asset. Weighing Equipment calibration experience is an asset. Strong communication skills and professional customer interaction ability. Ability to work independently with high ownership and sound judgment. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
