About the role
Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) School is located in Kamloops, BC. The school enrolls approximately 160 students from Kindergarten to Grade Seven. OLPH is seeking applications from candidates to fill a part-time 0.4 FTE teaching position commencing September 1, 2026.
Preference willbegiven to candidates who possess:
- An active membership in a catholic parish
- A commitment to excellence in Catholic education
- A Bachelor of Education Degree
- A valid BC Certification
- Demonstrated successful experience in Elementary education
- Well-versed in the ability to integrate Catholic teaching and culture in the classroom
- Aptitude to differentiate instruction based on student needs
- Knowledge of current instructional practices and the renewed curriculum
- Ability to work collaboratively with another teacher as part of a job-share arrangement and contribute positively to a larger school team.
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of current instructional strategies and assessment methods
- Excellent and proven classroom management skills
- Exceptional communication strategies with students, staff and parents
- A genuine sense of joy in teaching and learning
- A desire to provide leadership of extracurricular activities
