Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated, experienced, detail-oriented professional to join the Food & Beverage team as Food & Beverage Manager.

In this role, the Food & Beverage Manager will oversee all food and beverage outlets within the hotel, including our Mosaic Bar & Grille, Grain Tasting Bar, Starbucks, and Mosaic-To-Go, ensuring consistently high standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction across each venue.

Candidates must be flexible with their work schedules to accommodate business demands, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.

Salary range: $85,000 - $91,000 per year

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Support and manage the hotel's Food & Beverage outlets in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Operations and other hotel departments
  • Led, empower, coach and motivate the outlets team to deliver exceptional guest service results and drive high levels of colleague engagement
  • Contribute to achieving and exceeding guest satisfaction targets including surveys results
  • Maintain clear, professional and effective communication with guests and across all hotel departments
  • Proactively address and resolve guest concerns and complaints, ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with food and beverage standards, specifications, and brand expectations
  • Proactively assess and manage staffing levels, product quality, and the equipment needs
  • Foster a positive, professional, and high-energy work environment
  • Develop innovative ideas to enhance outlet offerings and overall guest experience
  • Build and sustain a culture of service excellence through effective hiring, training, development, and recognition
  • Coach and counsel colleagues to uphold Hyatt service standards and operational procedures
  • Oversee administrative tasks including the facilitation of payroll, reports, forecasting, point-of-sale (POS) procedures, inventory and budgeting
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards
  • Plan and execute special events, seasonal activations and holiday programs

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of food & beverage management experience, preferably within Hyatt
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality/Hotel Management is an asset
  • WSET 2 or 3 certification (or equivalent) preferred, WSET 1 (or equivalent) required
  • Valid FoodSafe Level 1 and Serving It Right certifications required
  • Must be available to work AM and PM shifts, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Strong ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Highly organized with strong administrative and time-management skills
  • Proficient in general computer applications, including POS systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Experience implementing new food & beverage concepts
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent walking throughout the shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50lbs)
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
