Pay Rate: $21.48/hour
Hours: Continental Rotation (0700-1900 / 1900-0700)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About The Role Paladin Security Group is hiring dedicated Security Guards to join our team at Brockville General Hospital . This is a rewarding opportunity to provide vital security services within a healthcare setting while developing skills for future career growth.
As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors by performing proactive patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering excellent customer service. What You'll Do
- Patrol interior and exterior areas of the hospital to maintain a safe environment
- Monitor guests, staff, and patients to proactively address incidents
- Perform patient watches as required
- Remain calm and act effectively in emergency situations
- Complete detailed incident and end-of-shift reports
- Supervise and monitor access to hospital facilities
- Follow established procedures and carry out additional duties as assigned
Requirements Must-Have Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to be clean-shaven for N95 Mask Fit Test
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double dose)
- Completed immunization for MMRV and Tuberculosis (or proof at time of hire)
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Nice to Have (Assets)
- Fluency in French
- 6+ months of security experience
- Healthcare or hospital security experience
- Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Willingness to complete Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program (covered by Paladin with a 6-month employment commitment)
