Job Description Summary: Reporting into our Manager, BI Solutions, the primary focus of the Supply Chain BI Solutions Analyst role is to support our supply chain strategy, user, and customer experience by supporting Supply Chain systems, designing approaches using qualitative and quantitative methods through data and analytics to help us optimize and evolve our growing Pet Valu network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and fostering partnerships across the organization while supporting excellence within our Supply Chain team(s). They should be an effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with multiple levels of the organization, leveraging critical thinking skills to collect, analyze, and interpret data and situational/system opportunities. Additionally, they should be looked upon as a subject matter expert to align with best Supply Chain practices and be in sync with our Supply Chain network, systems, strategy, team culture, and the Pet Valu community. The Supply Chain Solutions Analyst role is ideal for someone passionate about using qualitative and quantitative methods to unlock opportunities for driving Supply Chain excellence and supporting key growth initiatives, with an overall belief in being part of something bigger.

Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support in managing Blue Yonder and WebPortal data maintenance/accuracy, and exception management to support Vendor and DC/Store order flow.
  • Assist in ensuring Supply Chain application integrations are working as expected, identifying opportunities where they exist.
  • Identify and work on potential enhancement opportunities, collaborating with BA to represent the business in providing the requirements for development.
  • Lead and support User Acceptance testing on various enhancements and maintaining detailed documents.
  • Understanding the processes associated with inbound / outbound data flow between Supply Chain systems and ERP to help manage data issues.
  • Utilize various data analysis tools and techniques to identify patterns, outliers, and areas for improvement.
  • Perform complex data mining and ad-hoc data analysis using various tools.
  • Use data visualization tools to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work closely with business leads to gather and document business requirements to support Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Ability to work positively with the team and cross-functional partners involved in key projects and/or Pet Valu business.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on driving exceptional results with a profound sense of teamwork and accountability.
  • Create/generate reports/dashboards, writing scripts where possible to automate.
  • Coordinate tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with business leads.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Competencies: Technical

  • Familiarity with Blue Yonder (JDA) and data mining applications (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, IBM Cognos) and languages (SQL, R, Python, VBA, DAX) and other basic coding languages.

Experience, Education, Certifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Business, Math, Statistics, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of practical analytical experience in a professional environment or business setting, preferably in Supply Chain.
  • Preferably 1 – 3 years of Blue Yonder Supply Chain application experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL to query relational databases.
  • Enhanced skills in using and implementing data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with open-source languages such as R, Python is an asset.
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must be able to travel to offices, stores, and distribution centers as required.

Working Conditions

  • Flexible hybrid work schedule allowing for work from home, office, and distribution center.
  • Able to work in both warehouse and office environments.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10 -25% of the time.
