We are looking for a high-performing Equipment Sales Representative – General Line to join our Surrey, BC team. In this role, you will be responsible for aggressively growing our customer base through equipment sales and rentals. You will identify untapped markets, pursue new business opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

This is not a maintenance role—it is a growth role. We want someone who is energized by prospecting, fearless in the face of rejection, and relentless in the pursuit of success.

What you will do:

  • Drive new business development through cold calling, networking, and territory planning
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities for new and used Caterpillar equipment
  • Develop strategic relationships with customers and key decision-makers
  • Deliver customized equipment solutions that create long-term value
  • Own your territory and operate with an entrepreneurial mindset

Job Description: Major Job Functions:

  • Selling equipment and rental products to end users.
  • Developing and maintaining client information using Finning’s CRM software
  • Forecasting new equipment sales and achieving budget unit revenue targets.
  • Providing the best solutions to our customers, including marketing all products.
  • Resolving customer product concerns through warranty or goodwill issues.
  • Expanding market share of Caterpillar's full line of construction and forestry equipment.
  • Developing detailed knowledge of product line and applications.
  • Providing product demonstrations and deliveries.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience with products and services related to the General Construction industry.
  • Knowledge of the Caterpillar equipment line and used equipment business is essential.
  • Industry knowledge is required.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in addition to CRM tools.
  • Ambitious and thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
