**IT Security Analyst (Permanent)

• Identify and address security threats to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
• Implement and maintain effective security measures to protect against cyberattacks.
• Utilize tools and technologies to prevent security breaches and monitor for potential threats.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Plan and coordinate security audits, penetration tests, and collaborate with relevant departments and external contractors.
• Lead and manage projects aimed at enhancing the organization’s security posture.
• Stay informed about security risks, emerging threats, and best practices in the industry.
• Work closely with system administrators to apply patches and updates to reduce vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches promptly.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide training and support to employees on security best practices.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and implement changes recommended through security assessments.
• Manage and maintain IT incident response plans to address security events effectively.
• Analyze threat intelligence data to proactively identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and conduct security awareness programs and training sessions to foster a security-conscious culture.
• Assess and manage risks related to third-party vendors and service providers.
• Continuously review and update security policies to align with the latest industry standards.
• Create and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity during security breaches or other incidents.
• Generate and analyze security metrics and reports to assess the organization’s security posture and the effectiveness of security measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar IT Security Analyst role.
• Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and security frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are an asset.
