Role Description The Plant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Delta, BC, responsible for overseeing daily plant operations and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role includes managing production schedules, coordinating staffing, monitoring equipment performance, and implementing best practices for food safety and quality control. The Plant Manager will lead and support production teams, optimize workflows, manage inventory and raw materials, and collaborate with cross-functional partners on continuous improvement initiatives. The position also involves tracking operational metrics, enforcing health and safety standards, and contributing to strategic planning to meet business goals and customer demand. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Plant Management and Plant Operations, including supervision of manufacturing teams and oversight of day-to-day facility activities. Strong Operations Management and Manufacturing Operations skills, with the ability to optimize processes, maintain production efficiency, and uphold safety and quality standards. Experience with Production Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of materials to meet output and delivery targets. Knowledge of food manufacturing or related industries, including familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory requirements. Proven leadership abilities, with skills in coaching, conflict resolution, and building inclusive, high-performing teams. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in using data and KPIs to drive operational improvements. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities. Post-secondary education in engineering, operations, business, food science, or a related field is an asset; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
