About the Job

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Weekend Supervisor, Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for supervising the operation of the Laboratory during the weekend and statutory holiday day shift and liaises with shift staff to ensure appropriate services are provided on these shifts. This position also performs routine and specialized procedures in all sections of the laboratory as required.

This is a Permanent Full Time (1.00) opportunity.

Shift Times: 07:30 to 15:30

Days of Work: Thursday - Monday

• Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
• Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS
• Three (3) years’ recent related experience as a general duty technologist in a medical laboratory
• Supervisory and related technical continuing education courses
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the facility
