About the Role
Steelhaus is seeking a highly motivated Manager, Treasury to support the CFO in overseeing the company’s capital structure, liquidity management, and banking relationships.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, experience in treasury or corporate finance, and prior exposure to corporate banking (e.g., as an analyst or in a similar role). A professional accounting designation (CPA, CFA) is considered an asset, but equivalent hands-on experience in treasury, banking, or corporate finance will also be highly valued.
Position Details
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Calgary, AB (Downtown)
Key Responsibilities
- Treasury Operations and Liquidity Management
- Manage daily cash flow, liquidity, and short-term investments.
- Oversee banking structures, credit facilities, and intercompany funding.
- Support the CFO in optimizing capital allocation and funding strategies.
- Debt and Covenant Compliance
- Monitor debt covenants and ensure compliance across all credit facilities.
- Prepare and deliver covenant reporting packages to lenders and stakeholders.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses related to covenant headroom and financial metrics.
- Banking and Stakeholder Relations
- Act as a key point of contact with banks, financial institutions, and rating agencies.
- Support negotiations of credit agreements, renewals, and amendments.
- Provide insights on banking trends, lending terms, and capital markets conditions.
- Corporate Finance and Strategic Support

Assist with financial modeling, forecasting, and cash flow projections.

Support the CFO in evaluating debt/equity financing options and capital structure decisions.

Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting for executive leadership and the Board.

Qualification and Experience
-
5+ years of progressive experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking.
-
Direct experience in corporate banking, financial institutions, or covenant monitoring is a strong asset.

Professional designation (CPA, CFA) preferred but not required if relevant experience is demonstrated.

Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and corporate lending practices.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners (banks, auditors, syndicate members).

Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
