About the role

We are seeking a dedicated full-time Junior Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Junior Accountant, you will support the Finance Team in daily accounting operations and month-end processes in a multi-entry environment, including

  • Preparing daily cash settlements and bank deposits, and delivering deposits to the bank.

  • Completing bank and credit card reconciliations.

  • Reconciling bank feed items and correcting coding errors.

  • Serving as backup for MCP billing and assisting with monthly fee billings.

  • Reviewing daily billing reports to ensure accuracy.

  • Maintaining aged Accounts Receivable and following up on outstanding invoices.

  • Reconciling MCP remittances and deposits.

  • Assisting with preparation of monthly working papers and reconciling balance sheet accounts.

  • Supporting journal entry preparation and assisting with month-end close.

  • Performing other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring

  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (co-op or internship experience considered).

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is an asset.

  • A proactive, resourceful approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
