About the role
We are seeking a Director, IT to define the organization's main technological directions, ensure the consistency and security of its digital environments, and support the team's scientific mission by creating a solid and scalable technological framework.
Key responsibilities
- Define LawZero's technological vision and strategy, in line with its research and innovation mission.
- Develop a secure, reliable, and scalable IT environment, adapted to the needs of a scientific team.
- Represent the technology function to external partners and ensure the consistency of IT decisions.
- Supervise and grow the IT team, developing skills and collaboration within the group.
- Work in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments to support system performance and the availability of GPUs necessary for research.
- Support researchers in their projects by ensuring the availability and performance of computing, collaboration, and storage tools.
- Establish best practices for cybersecurity, data governance, and sensitive information access management.
- Oversee the entire IT project lifecycle, from strategic planning to implementation and continuous improvement.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field.
- Confirmed experience in IT leadership or management, ideally in a developing or transforming environment.
- Expertise in HPC and GPU environments, with an understanding of distributed computing and virtualization architectures.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a growing team, with the ability to develop talent and structure IT functions.
- Strategic vision and understanding of technological issues related to AI, cybersecurity, and data governance.
- Ability to build from a developing context, lay solid foundations, and support growth.
- Aptitude for collaborating with scientists, researchers, and engineers in an interdisciplinary setting.
- Excellent communication, popularization (explaining complex concepts simply), and change management skills.
- Natural leadership, technical rigor, and a taste for collaboration.
