Job Overview:
This role plays a key role in the planning, organization, and monitoring of multi-site construction projects. They support teams in the effective implementation of projects by adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the Construction Manager in planning, executing, and tracking projects.
- Coordinate activities between different teams and departments.
- Ensure project documentation is kept up to date (project plans, schedules, budgets, progress reports, etc.).
- Organize and lead follow-up meetings (note-taking, minutes, action items).
- Monitor the progress of deliverables and identify any potential gaps or risks.
- Participate in risk analysis and the implementation of mitigation measures.
- Ensure communication between internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the management of resources, suppliers, and subcontractors, as needed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Construction Management processes.
- Receive, verify, and code various invoices.
- Create vendor lists.
- Receive and presents quotes
Education, Credentials, Qualifications:
- College or university degree in project management, administration, engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of multi-site construction experience and/or in a construction project management support role
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Outstanding communication: Understand that communication is the glue that holds the project team together; maintain open and clear lines of communication within and across teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: Ability to actively listen to stakeholders’ concerns, develop a solution or action plan, and communicate it clearly in terms they understand.
- Strong organizational skills: Plan tasks and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail: Strive for excellence by ensuring records are accurately maintained.
- Problem-solving: Handle unique communication challenges and unexpected issues; provide the best possible solution, regardless of one’s disposition or physical abilities.
- Specialized knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant information in the area of expertise.
- Initiative, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
- Able to commute regularly to site locations
- Ability to work in a team and maintain good professional relationships
