iGaming Ontario is seeking a Senior QA Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Solutions Support, the Senior QA Analyst will act in a role that combines the strategic oversight of a Test Lead with the hands-on responsibilities of a Test Analyst. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about ensuring software quality across the development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Defining and implementing test strategies, plans, and processes.
- Coordinating testing activities across projects and teams.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for QA-related matters.
- Mentoring junior testers and promoting best practices in testing.
- Analyzing requirements and design comprehensive test cases.
- Executing manual and automated tests across various platforms.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using appropriate tools.
- Performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Working closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers.
- Participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Providing regular test status updates and quality metrics to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate must have:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. Microsoft Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Java).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. Micro Focus Load Runner, JMeter).
- Experience with test data tools (e.g. Java, Snowflake).
- Experience in testing web, desktop, and API-based applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check.
iGaming Ontario has implemented a minimum three-day per week in-office schedule and may implement a full return to office in 2026. The terms of iGaming Ontario’s Hybrid Work Policy are subject to change at any time, including its office location, the removal of the Hybrid Work Policy and a return to full-time in-office work.
This position falls within the scope of a bargaining unit represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU). In the upcoming months, iGaming Ontario and OPSEU will be negotiating the terms of a collective agreement which, once concluded, will govern the terms and conditions of this position.
