Reporting Structure
The Payroll & Group Benefits Analyst reports directly to the Senior Manager, HR & Payroll Services.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities
Payroll
- Process and support end-to-end Canadian and International Payroll (bi-weekly/monthly).
- Compile, validate, and analyze payroll data for accuracy.
- Reconcile payroll reports, balances, and general ledger entries.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with CRA, EI, CPP, and applicable legislation.
- Support payroll audits and reporting requirements4Group Benefits & Pension Administration.
- Administer group benefits and pension programs (enrollments, changes, terminations).
- Act as a liaison with benefits providers (Desjardins).
- Coordinate payroll deductions and reconcile benefits billing.
- Support annual renewals, plan updates, and communications.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and coverage.
Analysis & Reporting
- Provide payroll and benefits reporting and insights.
- Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support budgeting and forecasting related to payroll and benefits.
General
- Maintain accurate employee and payroll records within HRIS (ADP).
- Support continuous improvement of payroll and benefits processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Payroll accuracy and timeliness.
- Compliance with payroll legislation.
- Accuracy of benefits administration and reconciliations.
- Responsiveness to employee inquiries.
- Quality and timeliness of reporting.
- Data integrity within payroll and HR systems.
Qualifications
- PCP designation (or working toward).
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation.
- Experience with ADP preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience
- 3–5+ years of payroll experience.
- Experience with group benefits and pension administration.
- Aviation industry experience considered an asset.
- Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Quantum) is an asset.
