The Opportunity
As Retail Sales Manager you continue Santevia’s expansion into national mass‑market chains while accelerating growth within Natural Health retailers. Santevia currently retails in chains like London Drugs, Nature’s Fare, Pharmasave, Healthy Planet, Pure Integrative Pharmacy, Nesters Market, Choices Market, Community Natural Foods and many more! You will own the full sales cycle—prospecting, pitching, negotiating, onboarding, and nurturing—and translate strategy into on‑shelf results across Canada, the US, and Europe.
12‑month success looks like:
- +2 national or regional mass‑market accounts secured.
- +20 % sell‑through lift across the top‑5 Natural Health partners.
- Promotional ROI ≥ 3 : 1 and trade‑spend within budget.
- Inside Sales Representative (your direct report) achieving KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Strategy & Growth
- Map priority banners and build tailored entry strategies for grocery, big‑box, and department stores.
- Deepen partnerships with existing Natural Health retailers—upsell, cross‑promote, and educate staff to maximise basket size.
- Analyse POS data and market trends to recommend pricing, promo cadence, and new‑product placement.
Account Management & Relationship Building
- Cultivate C‑suite and buyer relationships; conduct quarterly business reviews and joint‑business plans.
- Negotiate programs, margins, and promotional calendars that balance retailer objectives with Santevia profitability.
- Ensure in‑store and online merchandising meets brand guidelines; manage third‑party reps and distributors.
Sales Execution & Forecasting
- Build and deliver quarterly / annual sales plans that hit growth targets.
- Forecast demand, align with Supply‑Chain on inventory, and manage trade‑spend.
- Represent Santevia at key trade shows and industry events.
Cross‑functional Leadership
- Partner with Marketing on POS tools, launches, and campaigns to drive velocity.
- Feed customer insights back to Product for roadmap decisions.
- Coach and develop the Retail Account Specialist; set clear KPIs and conduct regular 1‑on‑1s.
Qualifications
- 5+ years B2B retail sales success in CPG, Natural Health, or Wellness.
- Demonstrated record of landing brands in new channels and scaling revenue with both independents and large chains (e.g., Loblaws, Whole Foods, Walmart).
- Fluency in retail math—margins, deduction management, promo ROI—and confidence with CRM and sales analytics.
- Persuasive negotiator and relationship builder who communicates with clarity and integrity.
- Entrepreneurial self‑starter comfortable in a growth‑stage environment.

All core Santevia products are built in the Santevia Canadian manufacturing facility in Delta, BC, and adhere to the Santevia brand promise to offer our clients products that are healthy, cost-effective and eco-friendly.
