The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Geoscientific Database Coordinator, you will be part of the Geology department. You will ensure that objectives are met while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, the health and safety code of conduct and the environment.

You will provide technical support to Agnico Eagle’s geology teams, assisting users of the geoscientific database with complex issues, such as data modification, data entry, and access via queries and related tools. You will be the key person for best practices and ongoing training on various software used, you will help maintain the integrity of the company's data. Your creativity and innovation will be essential in the development of different software modules and related tools. You will also be closely involved in the acquisition and integration of new Agnico Eagle projects.

  • Manage Agnico Eagle’s global geoscientific database;

  • Provide technical support (software installation, user support, training, etc.) to the different operations and exploration teams;

  • Integrate data from project acquisitions into the central database;

  • Manage the company's satellite servers;

  • Act as the primary contact for the different analytical laboratories;

  • Participate in the acquisition and integration of geological data from new projects;

  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and database integrity;

  • Participate in development (innovation, new tools, etc.);

  • Perform other related duties as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in geomatics, a college diploma (DEC) in mineral technology, or any other relevant training;

  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the mining industry or any other relevant experience;

  • Knowledge of software such as SQL Server, Crystal Report, Access, ArcGIS etc.;

  • Knowledge of Datamine's "Fusion" suite (Dhlogger-Fusion-MineMapper) is a major asset;

  • Fluency in written and spoken French;

  • Proficiency in the use of the English language (oral and written) as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language;

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is considered an asset;

  • Be open and available to travel between the different Agnico Eagle sites.

Your Work Schedule

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. Possibility of 5-2-4-3 schedule;

  • Workplace: Possibility to work in one of AEM's offices closer to your residence in Rouyn-Noranda, Preissac, Val-d'Or, Mirabel or Toronto. There is a possibility to have a hybrid work schedule, working some days from an AEM office and some days in telecommuting.
