About the role
Locala is the world’s leading commerce media platform, leveraging consumer insights and location data to increase brand awareness, drive consumers to store, and deliver smarter business outcomes. In order to strengthen our DevSecOps Team, Locala is looking for a DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer with former successful experience (This position is open to junior candidates with some initial experience).
The main mission in this role is to make the infrastructure more reliable and help other teams use it in an efficient way:
• Ensure reliability of infrastructures and maintain optimal operational condition
• Collaborate with the team to design new technical solutions
• Automation tasks (CI/CD, automated provisioning, scripting)
• Promote security best practices to both DevSecOps & Development teams
• Level 1 and 2 support to other teams (documented tasks and, once you have been trained, undocumented tasks)
• Incident responses (on-call once every three weeks)
About you:
With an engineering background, you have at least some initial experience as Dev(Sec)Ops, in a highly loaded / highly available environment. You like and have knowledge of distributed architectures and other technical topics such as automation, security (technical and organizational), free software & cloud computing. You are comfortable in spoken and written English and are able to work with teams distributed around the world.
We are looking for someone curious, rigorous, autonomous & open minded with the desire to learn and evolve but also a real willingness to share their knowledge.
Technical knowledges/environment: you don’t need to know all of them, you are also here to learn:
• Cloud computing in general - AWS is a plus
• K8s in general and EKS in particular - you feel comfortable with K8s management at the operational level: kubectl, helm are one of your best friends and you know general K8s concepts like ingress controllers, operators, deployments…
• You have a previous experience with CI/CD - Gitlab & ArgoCD is a plus
• You like automation, in particular Chef and Terraform
• You like Linux and in particular Debian GNU/Linux
• Dockerfile and helm charts are no fear to you
• We’d appreciate coding knowledge in one of these languages: shell (bash,zsh…), python, go, rust
• Other tech stacks you may know and that we are using extensively:

Vous serez rattaché au VP DevSecOps et travaillerez en collaboration avec deux autres personnes situées en France ainsi qu’avec les équipes de développement produit localisées au Canada, aux USA et en France. Le lieu de travail est Montréal au Canada ou Miami aux US dans un environnement international.
Principales missions :
• Assurer le maintien en conditions opérationnelles des infrastructures
• Participer à la conception de nouvelles solutions techniques
• Automatiser le déploiement des applications et des infrastructures
• Promouvoir l’intégration de la sécurité au travers de la culture et des pratiques • • DevSecOps au sein de l’équipe et à l’ensemble des équipes produit
• Assurer le support de niveau 2 en lien avec les autres équipes
• Assurer la réponse aux incidents techniques et de sécurité
Profil :
De formation ingénieur, vous disposez si possible d’une première expérience en tant que Dev(Sec)Ops de préférence sur des environnements à forte charge. Vous avez une appétence pour les architectures distribuées et êtes sensible à différents sujets tels que l’automatisation, la sécurité (technique et organisationnelle), le logiciel libre, les environnements cloud. Vous êtes à l’aise en anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit et êtes à même de travailler avec des équipes distribuées dans différents pays. Nous recherchons quelqu’un de rigoureux, curieux, passionné, ayant l’envie d’apprendre et d’évoluer mais aussi de partager ses connaissances.
Environnement technologique :
• Cloud (AWS principalement)
• K8s (EKS en particulier) - kubectl, helm seront vos amis de tous les jours - Les concepts généraux de K8s n’auront plus de secret pour vous (contrôleur d’ingress, opérateurs, etc.)
• Les Dockerfile, les charts Helm ne vous font pas peur
• CI/CD : nous utilisons principalement Gitlab et ArgoCD
• Vous aimez l’automatisation, en particulier Chef et Terraform
• Votre OS préféré est Linux, encore mieux s’il s’agit de Debian GNU/Linux
• Vous avez des connaissances en développement/création de scripts : shell, python, go
• Autres produits que vous pourriez connaître et que nous utilisons intensivement :
