About the role
The Facility Manager is an operations-focused professional responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management, maintenance, and performance of the facility. They ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment while coordinating vendors, managing resources, and addressing operational issues. The Facility Manager plays a key role in maintaining service standards and ensuring a seamless experience for both customers and staff.
What Would You Be Doing?
Management of Operations
- Ensure the proper management of procedures, health and safety, equipment, and software specific to operations;
- Ensure that the control measures are respected.
- Foster an environment focused on excellence in customer service and ensure the quality of services offered by the entire organization.
- Be proactive and constantly keep abreast of new information regarding market trends.
- Track parking rates at surrounding lots.
- Assess the needs and specify specifications of the equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased, and ensure monitoring and inventory of the same.
- Ensure the workplace is kept clean and tidy.
- Collect cash from location(s) as needed;
- Troubleshoot accidents, damages, and equipment trouble;
- Maintain constant awareness of the venue and the surrounding area;
Customer Relationship Management
- Compile data and prepare documents on operational happenings and future operational enhancements;
- Meet with our corporate client to identify issues, assess, and recommend various solutions;
- Troubleshoot customer complaints
Employee Management
- Effectively communicate the organization's vision to team members and mobilize employees to develop a culture of operational excellence;
- Managing, planning, scheduling, training, and directing the activities of the Shift Supervisors;
- Manage and act, with the support of human resources, on major labor relations files: employee terminations, recovery plans, investigations, or reorganization;
- Maintain the development, deployment, and monitoring of best working practices in close collaboration with the human resources department;
- Evaluate the manpower required for operations.
- Ensure uniforms are clean and replaced when necessary.
What Are We Looking For?
- College diploma and/or a minimum of 3 years of operational and management experience
- Demonstrated ability to understand and report on P & L statements
- Proven customer relations experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business and operational acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn on the job
