Position: Part Time Security Guard

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement – calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly
Hours: Saturday & Sunday 00:00 – 12:00hrs
Payrate: $22.28
Posting Date: November 21, 2025
Internal Closing Date: November 27, 2025
External Closing Date: December 15, 2025
Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents. You will complete reports, investigate routine matters, and respond quickly to emergencies. This position requires strong physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods.
This site is a Government of Ontario Building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol premises (on foot or by vehicle) to ensure safety and security.
- Maintain visibility to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activity.
- Control access at TA points and verify authorized entry.
- Enforce company policies and report suspicious activity or violations.
- Report incidents, accidents, and breaches promptly to management.
- Complete daily logs and reports accurately and on time.
- Assist employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Inspect and maintain safety and emergency equipment.
- Be familiar with and perform emergency procedures when required.
- Communicate with security staff and bus drivers transporting TA workers.
- Support IOL contacts and contractors upon request.
- Use two-way radios for clear site communication.
- Perform additional assigned duties.
- Operate access readers and other security technology as needed.
Prerequisites:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB-approved)
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferred
- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)

- Candidates without these certifications may complete Paladin’s unpaid UOF/MOAB program before onboarding
- Paladin covers costs with a 6-month commitment to the role
- Minimum 2 years’ security experience in a commercial or government setting
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
