About the role

Join Beacon Community Services as a Community Liaison Coordinator, where you will play a key role in connecting employers, community agencies, and job seekers across the Greater Victoria region. This role blends outreach, relationship-building, and event coordination to promote Beacon’s Employment Services and create meaningful employment opportunities for clients. You’ll work closely with a collaborative Employment Services team to strengthen community partnerships and increase awareness of local labour market opportunities. Days/Hours of Work: Tuesday-Friday 8:30 – 4:30 pm. Wednesday, late shift 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every 4 – 6 weeks. 30 hours/week

Closing Date: Applications will be accepted until May 21 at noon. In person Interviews will take place the week of May 25, 2026.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain relationships with employers, community agencies, education partners, and employment service providers
  • Promote Beacon’s employment programs to employers and job seekers through outreach, presentations, and networking
  • Represent Beacon at job fairs, employer forums, and community events
  • Coordinate with employers and team members to identify and share job opportunities
  • Plan and support special events that promote Employment Services, including job fairs and follow-up activities
  • Gather and share local labour market information, training opportunities, and employer supports
  • Support team communications, including social media content and draft reports
  • Provide administrative and team support, including job board postings and workshop back-up, as needed

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least two years of experience in a marketing, outreach, or community coordination role
  • Experience working with employers, business associations, chambers of commerce, and/or community-serving agencies
  • Knowledge of employment services and local community resources
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid BC Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
