Social Media Marketing Manager.

Reporting to the Sr Director of Marketing and Communications, The Social Media Manager

is responsible for leading the digital presence of Freehand Hospitality’s restaurant

portfolio. This role sets strategy, oversees execution, and ensures content, community

engagement, and brand storytelling align with business goals. The Social Media Manager

will direct coordinators, creative partners, and vendors while collaborating with chefs,

general managers, and senior leadership to ensure each restaurant’s social identity is

distinct yet cohesive within the Freehand brand.

This role is based in-office with flexibility for remote work when appropriate. Some
evenings and weekends required for major events, activations, and content capture.
Travel to restaurant locations and event venues will be expected.

As Social Media Marketing Manager, you’ll get to:

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and oversee social media strategies for each restaurant and the broader

Freehand brand.

  • Manage annual and quarterly content calendars, ensuring alignment with marketing

campaigns, menu launches, and events.

  • Stay ahead of industry and platform trends to evolve the brand’s digital presence.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage external partners including photographers, videographers, and creative

agencies.

  • Partner with chefs, general managers, and marketing leadership to ensure content

aligns with brand goals and operational priorities.

Content Oversight

  • Develop content plans, shot lists, and mood boards developed by the team.

  • Organize and execute content video and photoshoots.

  • Ensure consistency in brand tone, quality, and storytelling across platforms.

  • Provide creative direction for major content captures (menu launches, events,

experiences).

Community & Reputation Management

  • Oversee community management practices, ensuring guest interactions are timely

and brand appropriate.

  • Escalate guest concerns as needed while maintaining a positive and engaging

online voice.

  • Identify opportunities for proactive engagement to build advocacy and brand equity.

Analytics & Performance

  • Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports, highlighting trends, ROI, and

recommendations.

  • Track KPIs such as engagement, reach, website traffic, and conversion to

reservations.

  • Translate analytics into actionable insights to optimize strategy and spend.

Event Support

  • Partner with events and operations teams to amplify Freehand activations across

social channels.

  • Ensure pre-, during-, and post-event coverage is strategic, aligned, and effective.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in social media management, preferably in food and beverage or a

related industry.

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing multi-brand or portfolio social

strategies.

  • Strong leadership and project management skills with experience managing direct

reports and vendors.

  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms, paid/organic integration, and emerging

trends.

  • Strong creative sensibility with experience guiding photography, videography, and

design.

  • Proficiency with analytics tools, scheduling platforms, and social listening.
