Restaurant Supervisor
About the role
Overview
Reporting to the Restaurant Management team, the Part-Time Ravine Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of a la carte food and beverage operations, while maintaining a profitable restaurant outlet, high quality products and service levels. This role is expected to support employees with aspects of daily service and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.
Role and Responsibilities
- Deliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
- Ensures all team members are executing to defined standards.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of current products and offerings across property.
- Continues development and training on Standards of Service.
- Monitors daily labour expenses and responds as required.
- Coaches, trains and motivates employees and leads by example.
- Monitors the front of house schedule and advises Manager on Duty of staffing needs throughout the day.
- Develops and maintains all pizza patio customer touch points; including table décor, settings, glassware, linen, restrooms and overall Restaurant appearance.
- Drives average guest cheque through sales training of staff.
- Responsible for the accuracy of all administration during the course of the shift-reads, closing duties, pre-shift, clock-in.
- Responsible for timely up keep of all restaurant menu pages.
- Monitors compliance with sanitation and safety rules and regulations.
- Nurtures a positive working environment and lead by example.
- Promotes Ravine and its products at every available opportunity.
- Participate in promotional and public relations functions, tastings and educational sessions.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience within the service industry is required.
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality, Food and Beverage Management or related program is considered an asset.
- Smart Serve Certificate is required.
Preferred Skills
- Communication: This position requires excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills.
- Customer Service: Willing to go above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction; personable.
- Leadership: Able to delegate, control a fast-paced environment, strong decision making skills.
- Technological: Experience with reservation software; Office Suite.
- Physical: Will be required to go long periods without rest, occasionally lift or move objects over 50LBS.
Working Conditions
- Works evenings, weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
- Duties will be performed outside during summer.
- Flexible and changing work hours.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $22.00-$25.00
- Included in our controlled tip system.
