The Senior Civil Engineer will lead the design and oversight of large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform civil design or oversee the design of projects such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, dams, storm/sewerage systems, pipelines, and other infrastructure.
• Develop project scope, planning, and cost estimates to support business cases across the asset life cycle.
• Collaborate with civil designers to create Civil 3D models and 2D drawings, including construction details.
• Develop and revise technical specifications, scope of supply, BOMs, MTOs, CWPs, and construction work packages.
• Ensure design work complies with company processes, standards, design criteria, and regulatory requirements.
• Inspect completed civil projects to confirm compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
• Prepare work schedules, allocate resources, and supervise junior engineers, technicians, and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• P.Eng. designation with APEGS
• P.Eng. designation with PEO (Ontario) is an asset.
• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project oversight for large-scale infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Experience with Civil 3D and 2D CAD design, including construction drawings and models
• Proven ability to lead projects, supervise staff, and coordinate multi-discipline teams
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation and reliability
• Experience with industrial or mining-related projects
• Familiarity with 3D viewer software such as Navisworks, Jetstream, and point cloud technology
• Experience in preparing technical specifications, BOMs, MTOs, CWPs, and construction work packages
