Job Purpose:
The service advisor acts as the first point of contact for all customer inquiries. They ensure the smooth flow of process from quoting to closing orders and handing off for invoicing. They will provide support to the sales and service teams to create the best possible customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Service Advisor include, but are not limited to the following:
- 
Communicating with customers during repair process to maintain strong customer service. 
- 
Entering and updating customer, vendor and order information in our system (G10). 
- 
Providing quotations to customers for repairs found to be required from inspections, service calls or customer inquiries. 
- 
Following up on outstanding quotations sent to customer. 
- 
Accurately selecting correct parts and components required. 
- 
Procuring material, parts and equipment for all service work to be performed. 
- 
Verifying accuracy of required parts and components before procurement. 
- 
Maintaining open orders to ensure they are up to date and orders are processed immediately upon completion. 
- 
Working with Shipping/Receiving to ensure timely delivery of parts and/or materials. 
- 
Scheduling all service work to be performed in their respective territory. 
- 
Working with finance team to process invoicing, credits and assist in AR issues. 
- 
Providing appropriate information to management and sales required for sales, budget and forecast. 
- 
Working with scheduler/dispatcher to address scheduling conflicts. 
- 
Working with the H&S/HR department to ensure technicians are current on training requirements. 
- 
Other duties as assigned by the VP Field Service 
Qualifications:
- 
Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent 
- 
High accuracy and attention to detail 
- 
Knowledge of the crane and lifting device industry an asset 
- 
Prior office experiences an asset 
- 
Able to balance several competing priorities. 
- 
Willingness to be flexible when scheduling technicians. 
Working Conditions:
- 
Office Setting 
- 
Working near other service advisers 
- 
Background noise can be distracting at times – other conversations, noise from fabrication area, etc. 
Physical requirements:
- 
Sitting for long periods of time. 
- 
Frequent and repetitive movement. 
- 
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Frequent use of phone 
- 
Frequent use of computer – typing, reading information off of screen
