We are looking for a collaborative and driven Facilities Engineer to join our team at the Empress Gas Complex , located near Burstall, Saskatchewan — approximately 117 km north of Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Responsibilities
- Develop and stamp engineering documents, work packages, and site designs.
- Provide technical support for maintenance, turnaround, and project execution activities.
- Lead or support site safety, integrity, and process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with corporate teams on feasibility studies, design improvement, and project implementation.
- Champion Management of Change (MOC) and Work Execution processes using Maximo.
- Conduct root-cause and performance assessments to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Integrity teams to deliver safe and efficient plant performance.
- Participate in short-term secondments with Operations, Planning, or Maintenance to build integrated site experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility upon hire.
- 5–10 years of experience in facility Operations, Maintenance, or Engineering. May consider Engineers-in-Training if site tasks are aligned with career aspirations.
- Working knowledge of industry codes (ASME B31.1/31.3, ASME BPVC Section I/VIII, API, NACE, CSA, ABSA).
- Familiarity with project management processes (PMP designation an asset, not required).
- Prior operational experience and knowledge with turnaround practices are strong benefits.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.
- Previous experience in oil and gas processing or heavy industry is an asset.
- Hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving is preferred.
- This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada for the duration of their employment.
