About the role
We are looking for a registered psychotherapist or registered social worker to join our team to provide counselling services remotely and in London ON. The Therapeutic Way, Counselling and Psychotherapy Services offer online and in-person individual, couples, and family therapy to Ontarians. With a focus on relationship issues, attachment injuries, relational trauma issues, and narcissistic abuse recovery, we take a relational, holistic, and attachment-based standpoint to therapy. We help clients heal the relationship they have with themselves and with their loved ones.
Responsibilities
Experience/ability to provide counselling to individuals, couples, and families, both in-person and virtually. Experience working with relationships issues, narcissistic abuse, PTSD/trauma, and attachment wounds, including breakups/separation, infidelity, anxiety, grief, depression, etc. Trained in couples and family therapy. Flexible hours 15-20 hours/week, with at least 2 evenings per week availability and ability to come offer in-person sessions 2x-3x a week.
Work from a holistic, relational, and trauma-informed approach
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes within CRPO’s or OCSWSSW guidelines. Strong ability to communicate quickly and effectively. Answer client email, phone inquiries, and team messages within 24 hours. Collaborate with other team members to ensure coordinated care and client support. Attend regular team meetings and training sessions, including onboarding training, to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
Completed Masters degree in counselling through an accredited institution In good standing with appropriate regulatory body. Strong sales skills and experience with consultation calls to attract and retain clients. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
Possess individual liability and malpractice insurance
Official training in Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, Couples therapy, and/or Somatic therapy Has the necessary requirements to provide virtual counselling services including (but not limited to): A quiet, private space, high-speed internet, computer with adequate audio/visual capabilities.
Assets
Ability to offer treatment in a second language Official training in Somatic Therapy Official training in couples and/or family therapy Ability to offer sex therapy.
Knowledge of Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Therapy
