About the role
Fleet & Equipment Mechanic (No 310S License Required)
Do you have strong mechanical skills and a passion for fixing things? We’re looking for a reliable Fleet & Equipment Mechanic to join our team — no 310S license needed but prior experience in mechanical repairs a must! In this role, you’ll help maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, trailers, small engines, and landscaping tools.
This role is currently a stand alone role, with occasional summer student help.

Responsibilities:
Fleet & Equipment Maintenance
- Inspect, service, and repair company vehicles (pickup trucks, trailers, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance on small engines (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)
- Service landscaping tools, including chainsaws, hedge trimmers, and irrigation equipment
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety issues
- Complete oil changes, brake service, tire rotations, and other basic maintenance
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs
Shop Organization & Inventory
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shop space
- Track and manage parts inventory, ordering as needed
Collaboration & Safety

Work with the Fleet & Shop Manager to schedule repairs and minimize downtime

Follow all company safety policies and guidelines

Support team members with equipment training and proper usage practices
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience (vehicles, small engines, or similar)
- Previous work in automotive, small engine, or equipment repair
- Willingness to learn and participate in company-provided training and apprenticeship programs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
