Job Description:
The assistant manager role will function as an extension of the AP Payment Manager role in an administrative and supervisory capacity. Duties may include but are not limited to coaching and recruitment, performance metrics (KPI) reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. The assistant manager will accurately, and in compliance with established deadlines, ensure that all payments are processed, vendors are reconciled, new vendors are properly onboarded, and expenses are audited.
Job Responsibilities
- Represent the team in meetings with business partners to ensure that Accounts Payable needs, concerns and priorities are appropriately considered in work/project planning.
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Provide appropriate leadership that fosters the smooth operating of Accounts Payable function to achieve optimal service levels.
- Onboard new suppliers into Workday
- Promote proactive best practice approaches through ongoing evaluation of team processes and performance, while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Process payments to suppliers
- Staff succession planning, recruitment and onboarding
- Resolve banking issues related to payments
- Other duties as assigned
- Audit expense
Education and/or Experience Required
- Post secondary education or equivalent experience in Accounts Payable processing
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of two years of managerial experience.
- Workday or other ERP experience would be an asset
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in Excel, including V lookup and pivot tables.
- Effective communication, both oral and written.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented, self motivated and reliable.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Compensation Details:
Expected Pay Range:
60,000.00 - 100,000.00 CAD Annual / Year
Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
Supplemental Pay:
This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
