About the role
What We’re Looking For
Creative Currency is looking for a Paid Media Manager to join our advertising team. This role leads the planning, execution, and optimization of paid media campaigns across digital, social, and programmatic channels — for clients who are trying to shift perception, win audiences, and move people to act.
This position sits inside our integrated strategy workstream, working closely with strategists, creatives, account leads, and production teams. You’re not just running ads — you’re contributing to the thinking behind them. That means helping shape targeting strategy, pushing back when the brief isn’t right, and understanding how paid media fits into the broader campaign.
Our clients span consumer brands, advocacy organizations, public affairs campaigns, and not-for-profits. The work is varied, the stakes are real, and no two briefs are exactly alike. If you’ve ever wanted to run a campaign that actually matters — not just one that performs on paper — you’ll fit in here.
You will work across both Creative Currency and our sister agency, Enterprise Canada, supporting national and regional clients across a range of sectors. You may find yourself running paid social for a national advocacy campaign one week and managing digital display for a recruitment launch the next. The ideal candidate brings 4–7 years of hands-on paid media experience, ideally from an agency environment, with proven expertise across Meta, Google, programmatic, and traditional media.
What You Do Well
Plan, build, and manage paid campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, and programmatic Manage and build relationships with media partners and vendors, including OOH, TV, radio and print, to negotiate rates, find added value and optimize media buys Develop audience targeting strategies — from segmentation and lookalikes to geo-targeting, behavioural layering, and custom audiences Write media plans and budget recommendations that are tied to real campaign objectives, not just platform defaults Brief and collaborate with our creative team on ad creative — you understand what makes an ad work, not just what makes it cheap to run Monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance in real time, and translate findings into clear, client-ready insights Use AI-assisted tools to speed up campaign analysis, surface insights faster, and test creative hypotheses at a pace that wasn’t possible before Lead A/B testing frameworks and use results to continuously improve performance Stay current on platform changes, policy updates, and emerging formats — especially in the advocacy and political advertising space Contribute to new business pitches with media strategy and audience intelligence Help mentor junior media staff and contribute to building out our paid media practice as the agency grows
Your Skills
Deep hands-on expertise in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and at least one DSP or programmatic platform Strong analytical skills — you’re comfortable in GA4, GTM, AgencyAnalytics, or similar tracking and reporting environments and can turn data into decisions Experience working with traditional media vendors and partners — including broadcast, print, out-of-home, and audio — and an understanding of how traditional and digital channels work together in an integrated buy. Experience running campaigns across consumer, not-for-profit, public affairs, or advocacy verticals Excellent written communication — you can write a smart media rationale, not just export a screenshot Comfortable presenting to senior clients and explaining media strategy in plain language Ability to manage multiple campaigns and clients simultaneously without dropping the ball An instinct for how creative and media strategy work together — you think about the ad, not just the placement Experience with LinkedIn Campaign Manager for B2B, government, or professional audiences is an asset Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate research, audience analysis, reporting, and creative testing — and curious about where the technology is headed next Familiarity with privacy-safe targeting and the post-cookie landscape is a bonus

About Creative Currency
The rules of advertising have changed. In today’s world, success isn’t always determined by how much money you have, how long you’ve been in business or who you know. A Reddit thread or viral TikTok video is as likely to sway opinions or move markets as an award-winning advertising campaign or PR stunt. Ideas are the common thread that give you currency to change things. That’s why we launched Creative Currency, a new type of advertising agency and content studio. Our team comes from the campaign world where ideas don’t just entertain, they persuade. Where public trust is earned, not assumed. And where the stakes are real – and they are high. Whether it’s beautiful graphic design or a full-fledged commercial shoot, our team brings a unique perspective that will help you win.
