Reports To: Manager, Donor Experience

Status: 12 Month Mat Leave Contract , Full Time

Work Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office at 2085 Hurontario Street with occasional work at hospital sites – Mississauga, Credit Valley Hospital and Queensway Health Centre sites.

We also secured the largest corporate match by Orlando Corporation of $75 million to support development of the new hospital, mental health and research and innovation.

THE ROLE

The Coordinator, Donor Experience will support the development of our existing stewardship and recognition materials and help execute our donor experience strategies to engage THPF’s family of donors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position entails, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Assist the Manager, Donor Experience with the workflow for stewardship and recognition pieces and support strategies to deliver an unparalleled donor experience
  • Effectively work with other members of the Foundation and hospital team to help drive projects to successful completion, including obtaining the required approvals for recognition items such as plaques and signage
  • Support the Manager, Donor Experience with annual Donor Wall, Baby Wall and Mission Engagement Wall updates
  • Work with external suppliers to manage the production of these recognition pieces and ensure they are installed at all hospital sites
  • Assist the Manager with the development and deployment of stewardship materials including donor impact reports, thank you letters and annual donor mailings, such as our National Philanthropy Day and Holiday Card mailings
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of donor database and ensure all donor naming preferences and stewardship/recognition activities are captured and tracked in Raiser’s Edge
  • Manage the weekly donor thank you call and gift report process
  • Work with the Information Systems team to create queries and pull donor information as required
  • Provide support to the Donor Experience team with respect to the planning and execution of donor experience/donor engagement events Assist when needed with tracking and posting vendor invoices and saving to the Donor Experience budget file

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in a not-for-profit environment, preferably in donor experience or fundraising
  • University degree or college diploma in communications, marketing, or other related disciplines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Experience in developing donor relations and/or stewardship material an asset
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy environment managing multiple varied projects
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated creativity and ability to develop new and innovative ideas
  • Flexible and adaptable team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with professional service suppliers/partners Willingness to work flexible hours, as required

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Products Donor/Client database experience (Raiser’s Edge) is strongly preferred

Work Environment

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and meet tight deadlines as needed, prioritizing tasks with the leader—some after-hours work may be required
  • Hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 1 day in the office per week. . Occasional work may be required off-site when hosting events Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
