About the role

Detailed Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join an organization that is committed to ending homelessness and improving the lives of the most vulnerable in our community.

The Maintenance Technician works within a multidisciplinary team to perform basic maintenance, and repairs related to various Cool Aid buildings, suites, grounds, and equipment. The Maintenance Technician ensures that Society properties are properly maintained and conducts routine inspections. The Maintenance Technician position involves working closely with clients in occupied and unoccupied rooms, as well as common areas, often working alone.

Qualifications

Education

Grade 10, plus related vocational training such as a building maintenance course.

Experience

Two (2) years recent related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Requirements

Successful completion of the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check. Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clear driver's abstract.

Job Information

Hourly Wage Rate: $30.95 - $35.52.

Work Location: Various.

Schedule: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Shift Time: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Weekly Hours: 37.5.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Union: BCGEU.
