Under the direction of the Technical Resources Director and the supervision of the Infrastructure Manager– Electric, HVAC & Energy for the Technical Services – tours, Infrastructure Department, the Infrastructure Lead - Energy will be responsible for planning and overseeing various site electrification projects. These projects involve ensuring that service providers meet Cirque du Soleil's standards in terms of content, deadlines, budget, and quality, while complying with service level agreements for electrical installations. Infrastructure Lead - Energy will also be responsible for communicating project progress to all relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Infrastructure Manager– Electric, HVAC & Energy in planning site electrification projects and various others;
  • Lead multiple site electrification projects from inception to completion;
  • Develop these projects budget evaluation and ensure proper budget tracking;
  • Ensure technical designs meet the required standard’s needs;
  • Validate concepts with all relevant stakeholders;
  • Review site construction plans and electrical schematics;
  • Ensure operational methods and work techniques are well established and understood;
  • Develop and coordinate project schedules;
  • Participate in the tendering process and assist in drafting contracts;
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure deadlines and specifications are met;
  • Provide regular updates and reports to departments and third parties;
  • Ensure final documentation is clear and complete for smooth project handover to touring teams;
  • Conduct comparative studies, with different energy source to find cost efficient and eco energetic solutions;
  • Support the company in conducting global energy consumption studies and GHG emissions inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in project management or equivalent experience;
  • Electrical license or diploma in a related field;
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar role is an asset;
  • Experience in a touring show environment is a strong asset;
  • Proven project management experience;
  • Strong decision-making and organizational skills;
  • Initiative and ability to work independently;
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills;
  • Good knowledge of electrical codes;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows environment);
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Schneider PME (Power Monitoring Expert) is an asset;
  • Knowledge of ETAP (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program) is an asset;
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential;
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written) is an asset;
  • Fluency in other languages(spoken and written) is an asset;
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally;
  • Willingness and ability to work outside regular work hours to accommodate time zone difference.
