We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Print Production Operator & Administrative Coordinator to join our Document Management team. This dual function role is vital to the daily operations of our print services and provides key administrative support to the team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining our networked printing systems, managing print jobs and ensuring a smooth workflow. In addition, you will support team operations through general administration and provide coverage during staff absences.
Your responsibilities:
Print Production & Coordination:
- Receive, review and prepare daily print jobs to ensure accuracy and high quality.
- Operate finishing equipment (cutting, folding, laminating).
- Coordinate daily print activities and manage supply inventory (paper, toner, staples, etc.).
- Schedule maintenance and repairs for print equipment as required.
- Calculate costs and provide consultations for print jobs, including graphic design and typesetting.
- Print workplace signage (station inserts, directories, maps) and manage related chargebacks.
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal departments to support print services needs.
Administrative Support:
- General administrative duties for the Document Management team.
- Enter print jobs into the tracking system and prepare monthly chargeback reports.
- Maintain office supply inventory and requisition materials for the department.
- Assist in preparing goals and work plans for Print Services.
- Submission of invoices and reconciliation of departmental expenses.
- Assist in planning and scheduling meetings, functions, and team building activities.
- Occasional backup (Leadership and Coordination coverage).
Your experience and skills:
- High school diploma and certification in Desktop Publishing or Office Administration is preferred.
- Minimum five years’ progressive experience in printing processes, with at least three years in graphics design is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating high-speed printing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in graphic and office software, including: Adobe Acrobat (full version) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). CorelDRAW, Photoshop and Illustrator experience would be an asset.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues and manage multiple print jobs simultaneously.

Salary: $53,199 to $59,125 per annum (Pay Grade 6)
