About the role

A career as a Product Owner in the Trade Surveillance Data Analytics team at National Bank means being a key player in developing and managing data assets and applications that support our global compliance efforts in the Capital Markets. This position will allow you to leverage your product development skills and have an impact in building the solutions that solve some of the more complex regulatory problems in the landscape.

Your job

You will be responsible for gathering and defining requirements, analyzing and validating those requirements to provide strategic insights on their integration within our ecosystem. You will have exposure to our capital market experts on both the business and technical front and be a foundational part of a growing cross functional development team.

• Deliver initiatives and contribute to the solution development roadmap. • Serve as the primary liaison between the business stakeholders and the development team. • Facilitate planning readiness, feature decomposition, and backlog grooming in collaboration with development team • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and business users. • Ideate & iterate in collaboration with development team, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to implement new, or improve existing features, data products, processes and methodologies • Participate in the creation of product artifacts that identify the key elements of our implementations • Identify opportunities to develop the product and propose innovative solutions.

Your team:

We are a team of proactive, collaborative and passionate individuals who work in Agile. In the sector you’ll work with a team of 4 developers and the director of data analytics. The team is mainly responsible for the democratization of Capital Markets data to compliance stakeholders and building the data products and surveillance solutions to mitigate the firms’ regulatory risks.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. • At least 2 years of experience in a strategic role in product management. • Proven experience in product development and leading cross functional teams in Agile/Scrum/Kanban. • Knowledge of technical concepts and ability to explain information in plain language • Proactive in problem identification • Growth mindset and excellent teamwork skills • A rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation Languages:

English, French

Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
